ROUTINE – The plot twist between you and your potential

It’s not just a boring buzzword — it’s your secret weapon

Every time we come across the word routine, it takes us back to the scene of some Bollywood movie where the instructor asks you to get up at 4 in the morning and run for 50 km.

Let’s be honest – the word routine does sound like an exciting Monday morning without coffee or an adult version of “EAT YOUR VEGETABLES.” But even though we know it’s good for us, we still prefer scrolling reels or ‘accidentally’ binging another episode of our favorite show at 2 a.m.

The Plot Twist: Routine Isn’t the Enemy

Routine doesn’t exist to scare you. It’s just a life-hack GPS in your life — something to help you avoid:

  • Last-minute panic
  • That “I’ll do it later” zone
  • Constant overwhelm

It may sound boring and restrictive, but routine isn’t about a rigid, robotic schedule. It’s about creating a consistent structure that helps you focus on your day-to-day tasks and habits.

Routine vs. Discipline: Not the Same Thing

We’re often made to believe that schedule is just another word for discipline — something harsh or strict.

When you first start building a routine, you might:

  • Face inconsistency
  • Feel frustrated or lazy
  • Think you’re not “built for it”

This puts you in the mindset of “maybe I can’t do it, so let’s just go with the flow.” Sure, that path seems easier. But over time, those habits can quietly separate you from the person you want to become.

What Routine Actually Gives You

Let’s be real — routine won’t turn your life into a Bollywood fairytale.
But it will give you the superpower to write your own success story.

By simply prioritizing, you can turn scattered energy into progress.

Here’s what routine does for you:

  • Builds consistency
  • Strengthens self-confidence
  • Creates momentum for long-term goals
  • Saves you from unseen disasters
  • Helps avoid living in panic mode

It might feel boring at times — but that “boring” structure is often what protects you from chaos.

Start Small. Stick With It.

You don’t have to become a billionaire or a supermodel overnight.

Just start here:

  • Pick one habit
  • Practice it daily
  • Forgive yourself when you miss
  • Stay patient with the process

Eventually, you’ll realize: The only thing scarier than schedule… is a life without one.

The Cost of a Life Without Routine

Let’s be honest – a life without schedule isn’t all freedom and dun. Its more like living in a group project where no one knows what they’re doing, even you, it’s a total mess.

Without a structure, everything feels urgent, and nothing actually gets done. You are constantly trying to get everything done and somehow still dropping everything.

Heres what you sign up for when you ditch a schedule:

  • Too many tabs open in your brain
  • Deadlines that scare you like horror movie villains
  • A calendar that feels like a puzzle
  • Feeling like you’re busy all the time but achieving nothing.

No routine= high-functioning chaos. And trust me, setting a target without with routine is a waste of time.

Customizing Your Routine: One Size Does Not Fit All

Just like clothes, schedules aren’t one-size-fits-all.
What works wonders for someone else might not feel right for you — and that’s okay. The key is to build a routine that fits your own pace, energy, and goals, not someone else’s schedule.

Here’s how to you can make one for yourself:

  • Find your peak hours— Are you more energized in the morning or evening? Plan your important tasks for when your brain feels most alert.
  • Start where you are — There’s no need to overhaul your entire day all at once. Begin with small, manageable steps that feel right for you.
  • Keep it flexible — Life can be unpredictable. A good routine adapts with you, allowing space for changes without stress.
  • Make it enjoyable — Include things you love, like your favorite music, a cozy cup of coffee, or a calming candle to set the mood.
  • Make it yours — Your routine should support your unique life, goals, and personality—not someone else’s ideal schedule.

Bottom line: a routine that fits you is easier to stick with and helps you feel balanced and motivated. So, design it thoughtfully—it’s meant to work for you
